Program: Surgical Technologist

Kristin always knew she was interested in a career in medicine, but she didn’t want to wait to complete a four year degree before getting to work. After reviewing all her options, she chose to pursue the Surgical Technology program at Orlando Tech.

Kristin liked the fact that the program was short term and offered real world experience. It was a perfect fit. She feels that the small class size and personal attention she received took this intense curriculum and made it manageable. Also, completing clinical training with potential employers assisted her in gaining her first job as a surgical technologist.

She graduated at the top of her class and is now working in neurosurgery at a local hospital. "Now I look forward to go to work every day, thanks to Orlando Tech I achieved my dreams!"
