Fees & Tuition  

Tuition and fees are established by the School Board of Orange County for programs offered. These costs are subject to change in accordance with legislative action.

Application …a non-refundable $25 one-time application fee is assessed for every full-time or part-time vocational certificate. A non-refundable annual $15 application fee is assessed for every Adult General Education or AEL/ESOL adult student enrolling in a Career and Technical Education center. The fee is non-transferable between Career and Technical Education centers and must be paid prior to the student taking the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) and completing the registration process. Note: Fee is transferable to all Orange County tech or ACE centers, if application is processed through Central Admissions.)

Tuition …tuition fees are charged for certificate classes and for Adult General Education (AGE) classes taken by students who already have a high school diploma/GED and score 9.0 or above on the TABE. There is no tuition fee for resident students enrolled in Adult English Literacy (AEL) classes who have basic academic skills at or below the eighth-grade level pursuant to State Board Rule. Dual Enrollment students (high school students who take electives at a Career and Technical Education Center while obtaining the required academic courses at their high school) do not pay tuition or lab fees, but may be required to purchase program related items.

Students without a high school diploma are not charged a tuition fee for basic education classes.

Students with an I-20 visa pay non-resident fees for AEL and Adult Basic Education classes.

Other… Textbooks, workbooks, tools, supplies, and/or specialized equipment may be required. The counselor or advisor can provide a list of related costs for each program. Every student and staff member on campus is required to wear a photo identification badge. The initial badge is prepared during orientation at no charge. Replacement cost is $5.

A current parking decal must be displayed on any vehicle parked on campus. Students are required to pay $15 for each parking decal requested.

A non-refundable fee of $10 will be charged to students who reenroll in the same program after a period of non-attendance. The first transcript will be provided at no cost; additional transcripts will be $2 a copy. A fee of $2 will be charged for diploma replacement.

Non-Resident Certificate - $6.80 per hour
Fees are customarily due on the entry date.

Florida residents who do not have a high school diploma and enroll in Adult General Education or AEL classes are not charged tuition fees.

Other Fees/Costs
Lab fees are assessed for most programs.
Other costs (textbooks, tools, uniforms, etc.) vary according to the program.
An additional charge may be assessed for Vocational Preparatory Instruction ( VPI).
   
Entry Dates
Many programs are opn entry/open exit allowing enrollment at any time.
Some programs require a specific entry date and may have an enrollment waiting list.  The application process should be finalized with Student Services immediately upon completion of testing.
