Sewing Technology and Services  
Mission
Prepare students for initial employment in the garment and textile industry. The program is intended to produce graduates who are prepared for employment as a seamstress, power machine/specialists machine operator, alterationist, dress/costume maker, alterationist for fine clothing and custom clothier.
     
Program Description
The program provides training in the basic skills essential to working in the apparel production industry: communication, applied math, interpersonal relations and organizational skills; the selection, use, and care of equipment; tools and supplies used in the apparel trades; and demonstration of knowledge and skill in clothing construction techniques. (Dual enrollment option)

Employment Opportunities
Employment placement assistance is provided. Opportunities abound in the costuming departments of local theme parks.
More traditional employment opportunities are available in garment production, alterations, custom tailoring and other related industry positions.
