Career Assesment  
Career Assessment provides an in-depth look at interests and aptitudes to assist individuals in their technical training decision-making by utilizing a variety of testing instruments. Assessment tools include computerized systems, hands-on activities, and interest inventories to name a few. The service is for all types of students sixteen and older, from the young student looking for career exploration to the adult student interested in changing careers. The assessment is available as a complete package, or services can be purchased individually.

Full Assessment Package A variety of the available tools, selected by the Assessment Coordinator to best address each individual’s needs, are used to provide an in-depth look at aptitudes and interests in order to make suggestions for training and/or career paths. (This package is available for currently enrolled OCPS students at the discounted rate of $65.)

Talent Assessment Program ® A hands-on assessment which utilizes real tools and real tasks to measure functional aptitudes and strengths

The Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator ® A questionnaire based on the psychological teachings of Carl Jung, one of the founders of modern psychoanalytical theory and practice. Developed over thirty-five years of rigorous scientific validation, it is the most widely used of any Personality Indicator.

Differential Aptitude Tests ® Paper and pencil assessment tool which measures Abstract Reasoning, Mechanical Reasoning and Spatial Relations

Valpar Whole Body Range of Motion ® A hands-on assessment that assesses whole body range of motion, agility, and stamina through overall body movements of the trunk, arms, hands, legs, and fingers.
