The AEL program provides instruction in the
language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Daily living skills, including employability skills, are included
in the curriculum. AEL training includes both individual and
group instruction at four basic skill levels: foundation, beginning,
intermediate, and advanced. AEL provides students an opportunity
to use computers, audiotapes, videos, and publications to improve
communications skills. Students can learn the language skills
necessary to enter a technical program, to prepare for the GED
program, or to fulfill a personal goal.
