TABE Test (Test of Adult Basic Education):

The TABE test is given to all students applying for academic or career programs. The cost of the TABE Test is included in the application fee. The TABE Test includes Reading, Math Computation, Applied Mathematics, and Language skills. Students are allowed to take the TABE test two times within a six month period and there is a three week waiting period in between testing opportunities. If you would like to review, study guides are available in the bookstore.

NET (Nurse Entrance Test):

The NET is an application requirement of the Practical Nursing program. The NET evaluates basic math skills, and reading comprehension. There is a $40.00 fee for NET. All applicants for the PN program at Orlando Tech must take the NET here. You will be allowed 3 attempts to pass this exam, however you must pay the testing fee of $40.00 for each test you take, and there is a three week waiting period between testing opportunities. Your NET scores will remain valid for a period of 2 years. For your convenience, the NET Study Guide is available in our bookstore. CASAS:

The CASAS test evaluates the English proficiency of prospective Adult English

Literacy (AEL) students for class placement. There is a $30.00 fee for CASAS Testing.
